The dog you dreamt of, with a baby in the house

Nobody tells you the dog gets harder when the baby arrives. He was the first baby, and now he is the one nobody has time for. You are not a bad owner. You are a tired one, and this is fixable.

Two calm dogs lying on the grass at the park after a Walkys session

Sound familiar?

He jumps at the pram. He barks the second she finally goes down. He pulls the whole way to the park while you push with one hand and hope. The front door is chaos when someone visits, so people visit less. You have tried YouTube, maybe a trainer who charged a lot and left a worksheet, and none of it stuck because you had no time to practise.

Here is the part nobody says out loud: the dog is not broken and neither are you. Dogs settle when someone shows them how, calmly and consistently, and that someone does not have to be you at 5am. It can be us, during the day, while you get on with your life.

Three ways in. Brandon will tell you which one fits.

Your dog trains while you are at work

Drop him at Unanderra or Shellharbour in the morning. He learns the calm walk, the settle and the door manners with our trainers, and comes home tired and better. Most families do one or two days a week.

We come to you

Some things can only be fixed where they happen: the pram walk down your own street, the front door, dinner time. A trainer comes to your home anywhere from Thirroul to Gerringong and works on the two moments that make your day hardest.

Jennifer★★★★★"10 months ago I got myself a new spoodle pup & by the time she was 14 weeks old I was questioning my choices & feeling very overwhelmed, stressed often in tears & wondering how on earth I was going to manage with this rather challenging little pup. She had turned our lives into stressful chaos. I took her to Walkys puppy school & quickly learned how amazing these trainers were ... Maizie has learned so many valuable lessons with Walkys along the way & is continuing to learn to be a calm well adjusted & socialised pup."
Kim★★★★★"Only two weeks in and we are seeing the results. Going to the vets our dog is reactive and can't be touched. To have his vaccinations they wanted him to be medicated so he would be less reactive. The team at Walkys have worked with our dog to help with this and he successfully had a full visit at the vets, not medicated, and had his vaccinations. At home he's calmer and even walks are getting easier."
Keri★★★★★"After trying 2 other training people that made my whole family anxious, Nathan and the trainers have been amazing with Brooke. Being a high energy dog, Brooke is now calm, has door manners, rides well in the car, crate trained, she walks great on the lead and she plays calmly with other dogs."

What happens on the call

Fifteen minutes on the phone with Brandon, our head trainer. He asks what a walk looks like right now, what your week looks like, and what you want it to look like in six weeks. Then he tells you plainly what he would do for your dog. If it is a yes, your dog can start within days. If it is a no, you leave with a plan anyway.

You do not need to have your dog with you, you do not need to have your notes together, and you are allowed to be interrupted by a toddler.
