The stage that makes or breaks a dog
That adorable puppy is growing up fast β and testing every boundary you set.
Pulling on lead, selective hearing, pushing back on things they had nailed six months ago. This is the most important stage in your dog's development, and without guidance now the habits cement for good.
We specialise in turning this phase into a launchpad for a calm, responsive, well-mannered dog you can take anywhere.
Sound familiar?
Pulling on the leash and ignoring your commands
Jumping, barking, or too excited around other dogs
Challenging boundaries you thought they had mastered
Struggling with focus or impulse control
Adolescent dogs are meant to test you. It does not mean the training failed.
How it runs
Four evenings. Then a whole day.
The classes teach you what to do. The academy day is where your dog does it for hours instead of minutes, with our trainers, around real distraction.
Week 1
Engagement and focus β getting your dog's attention back. One hour, 6:00pm.
Week 2
Loose lead walking under real distraction. One hour, 6:00pm.
Week 3
Impulse control β doors, greetings, other dogs. One hour, 6:00pm.
Week 4
Place training and recall with distractions. One hour, 6:00pm.
Week 5 β the academy day
Drop off in the morning, pick up in the evening. A whole day working everything in around real distractions.
The part worth reading twice
Week five is a full day at the academy. We do not charge you for it.
A day at the academy is a real training day with our trainers, not a play session. It sits inside the course fee rather than on top of it.

What you will achieve together
By week five, you and your dog willβ¦
Every dog moves at its own pace. This is what five weeks of structured work realistically gets you.
Lock in the basics β sit, down, stay and recall reinforced with more distance, more duration and more distraction.
Master impulse control β from doorways to cafΓ© tables, your dog learns patience and calm focus.
Walk without worries β loose lead skills good enough that walks are a pleasure rather than a battle.
Boost confidence β new environments, sounds and situations, introduced in a structured way instead of by accident.
Strengthen your bond β trust and communication that holds up long after the five weeks.
A teenage dog that listens again, on the lead and around distractions.
That is the outcome this course is built for. Not a party trick β a dog you can take out and enjoy.

Is this the right class?
Yes, if
Your dog is between 6 months and 2 years old.
You are getting leash pulling, excitement or a total lack of focus.
Boundaries your dog had nailed as a puppy have stopped working.
You can make a weeknight class and one full day in week five.
Not this one, if
Your puppy is under 15 weeks β Puppy School is built for that stage.
Your dog is between 15 weeks and six months β call us, we will point you at the right one.
You want the dog trained without you in the room. This one coaches you both.
You need one-on-one help right now β private training will get there faster.
Adolescence does not last. The habits do.
Five weeks of structure now is the difference between a dog you manage and a dog you enjoy.
