What the online academy is

Walkys Dog Training Academy on Skool is the online home of the Walkys Method. It is the same calm-first system we run every day at our Wollongong and Shellharbour academies, delivered as structured courses, live coaching and a community of Australian dog owners doing the work at home.

It is free to join. Inside you'll find the foundation course, the community feed, and the option to unlock the full library when you're ready for more.

The Walkys Method, step by step. Short video lessons that teach place, calm, loose leash walking and clear communication with your dog, in the order that actually works.
Two live sessions every week. Bring your dog, bring your questions. Watch the replay if you miss one.

Who it suits

They've already tried. Local trainers. YouTube. Books. Often two or three different approaches. They're not looking for a beginner's tip, they're looking for a coherent system from people who have worked with the kind of dog they have.

They want a partnership, not a fix. They're not outsourcing the dog. They want to learn the skills themselves and apply them every day. The Walkys Method works because the owner does the work.

They want honesty about what's possible. Some dogs need hands-on help. If that's your dog, the community will tell you, and point you toward the right kind of support.

What the online academy can't replace

To be useful to you, we have to be honest about what an online format cannot do.

Dogs with a bite history or serious aggression. These cases need in-person, hands-on work.
Public access training for assistance dogs. That runs through our Assistance Dog Pathway.
Dogs whose primary issue is human-related. We can coach you, but the change has to happen in the household.

How to start

Join free, watch the foundation course, and post an introduction of you and your dog. That's it. When you want the full library and the live coaching, you can upgrade inside the academy.
